Transportation Research Records
TRB's journal, which contains technical papers prepared by researchers and peer-reviewed by TRB committees. Papers from the TRB Annual Meetings, along with some papers prepared from other sources and conferences, are published in this series.
Transportation Research Circulars
TRB committee reports and other work of interest but not necessarily of permanent reference value. Circulars are typically interim research findings and research problem statements.
Conference Proceedings
Reports presenting the proceedings of TRB-sponsored conferences, including summaries of the participants' discussions and resource papers. Reports undergo review in accordance with National Research Council procedures.
Special Reports
Reports on research in which TRB staff or committees actively participate and on studies undertaken by select committees that address transportation policy issues of national significance. These reports undergo extensive review in accordance with National Research Council procedures. Selected reports are available online.
State-of-the-Art Reports
Reports prepared by TRB committees or staff or through contract to summarize and evaluate the current status of research in a particular area.
Transportation in the New Millennium
To mark the approach of the new millennium, the Division A committees mounted a special effort to capture the current state of the art and practice and their perspectives on future directions in their respective areas of focus.
