TRB is sponsoring Keeping up with Communication Technology: An Online Workshop on the Practical Use of Social Media on Wednesday, September 21, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. TRB’s first-ever, online-only workshop will consist of 2 plenary sessions and eight breakout sessions that will explore various social media issues and challenges faced by transportation agencies and others. Attendees may attend any or all of the sessions that their schedule allows.

Registration is free and will be open through the workshop sessions, however, but space is limited so those interested are encouraged to register in advance to ensure their spot is reserved.

Attendees will learn about new social media communication tools from transportation industry experts and like a brick and mortar meeting, attendees will have the opportunity to network with their peers. The workshop’s website also includes pre-recorded case studies and tutorials as resources for attendees to use either before or after the workshop.
