The Behavioral Traffic Safety Cooperative Research Program (BTSCRP) provides practical, ready-to-implement solutions to save lives, prevent injuries, and reduce costs of road traffic crashes associated with unsafe behaviors. BTSCRP addresses topics such as distracted and impaired driving, speeding, characteristics of younger and older drivers, and law enforcement.
A forum for coordinated and collaborative research, the BTSCRP addresses issues integral to the Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and traffic safety professionals at all levels of government and the private sector. The BTSCRP is jointly managed by NHTSA and GHSA and carried out by the Transportation Research Board (TRB).
