Low Cost Wireless Fatigue Crack Monitoring System Using RFID Arrays
The Connecticut Department of Transportation has released a report that analyzes the damage sensitivity of low-cost commercial ultra-high frequency radio frequency identification (UHF RFID) tags for crack detection and monitoring of metallic structures. RFID has become a common way to monitor fatigue cracks in steel girder bridges.
