TRB is sponsoring the Workshop on Control and Electrification of Highway Vehicles: Integrating Concepts and Infrastructure Need on March 25-26, 2010, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The workshop is designed to explore a vision for future highway transportation systems in the form of a new transportation system paradigm (NTSP). An NTSP will involve smart infrastructure for mobility and energy transfer, multi-faceted vehicle control, communications networks, and vehicle systems to support planning and control.
