Chris Hendrickson Receives the 2020 Richard R. Torrens Award for Editing

Dr. Chris Hendrickson has been honored with the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Richard R. Torrens Award for his outstanding performance as editor of the Journal of Transportation Engineering: Part A, Systems.

Hendrickson is a member of TRB's Executive Committee and Chair of the TRB Division Committee as well as a number of other TRB committees. The award was created to honor the memory of Richard Torrens, who was part of the Publications Department at the ASCE for 17 years. It honors volunteer journal editors who have made outstanding contributions to the ASCE journals’ program. Hendrickson is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and professor emeritus at Carnegie Mellon University.
