Professional Development Hours

TRB is authorized to issue Professional Development Hours (PDH) for select, live webinars. TRB is a registered provider with the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) Registered Continuing Education Provider (RCEP) program. As a registered provider, TRB will be reporting attendee participation of select webinars to RCEP, and provide a certificate of completion to webinar attendees. Not all TRB webinars will qualify for PDH certificates, so please view the webinar registration page to determine if TRB will provide a certificate of completion. To ensure that TRB webinar PDHs are approved by your board, please contact your licensing board.
A typical webinar session:

A typical TRB webinar runs approximately 90 minutes. Usually, three to four panelists present information for a total of 60 minutes. Presenters broadcast their PowerPoint presentation from their own computer. They communicate with the audience using Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) or their telephone. Audience members listen to the webinar via telephone or computer speakers, and are automatically muted during the session.

To interact with the presenters, audience members type their questions and comments into a chat box. Once the presentations conclude, we hold a 30 minute question and answer session. A designated question and answer moderator will read the questions and comments submitted by the audience, and presenters answer those questions. We also disseminate polls and surveys to the audience to increase their interaction with the presenters. Webinars are recorded and can be viewed in Windows Media Player.

Do you have a general webinar question?  Contact Lisa Berardi Marflak at LMarflak@nas.edu or 202-334-3134.

Please note: GoToWebinar may experience infrequent interruptions in service, and may be unavailable.  TRB does not accept any responsibility for a lack of service when GoToWebinar servers are down.  If a webinar needs to be rescheduled for any reason, TRB will contact you via email to discuss the situation and will provide information about rescheduling the session.
