The U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Office of the Inspector General (OIG) has released a report that examines the DOT’s policies and procedures for prompt referral of potential criminal violations to the OIG office. The OIG detects and prevents fraud, abuse, and mismanagement, and provides criminal enforcement for violations of law.
