ACRP Seeks Problem Statement Mentors: Inquiries Due March 31, 2017
TRB's Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) is seeking qualified practitioners to serve as Problem Statement Mentors. Mentors will assist practitioners as they develop new research ideas, known as problem statements.
A problem statement is a justification for funding a research idea. A quality problem statement provides the depth of information needed to allow for a thoughtful and formal consideration of its merits. Often, the person who identifies a viable research need does not also have adequate time, familiarity with the ACRP process, or breadth of expertise on the subject matter to fully develop the idea into a formal problem statement.
Problem Statement Mentor candidates should be qualified practitioners who have demonstrated the ability to take raw research ideas and develop them into high quality problem statements. Mentors will be available to assist anyone in the aviation industry interested in developing a research idea.
Potential candidates should contact Mike Salamone, ACRP Manager, at 202 334-1268 or
