Distress Identification Manual for the Long-Term Pavement Performance Program (Fourth Revised Edition)
The Federal Highway Administration has released the fourth edition of its Distress Identification Manual for the Long-Term Pavement Performance (LTPP) program. The manual provides a common language for describing cracks, potholes, rutting, spalling, and other pavement distresses being monitored by the LTPP program. Pavement types addressed by the manual include asphalt concrete-surfaced, jointed portland cement concrete, and continuously reinforced portland cement concrete.
