The Marine Transportation System plays a critical role in U.S. commerce and security, facilitating the movement of more than two billion tons of good annually. TRB will host a webinar on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 from 2:00-3:30 PM Eastern that will identify impacts, current practices, and lessons learned for creating a resilient path forward for the Marine Transportation System. This system is susceptible to the impacts of coastal storms, including major hurricanes. Presenters will discuss the findings from the U.S. Committee on the Marine Transportation System’s Resilience Integrated Action Team, which included input from more than twelve federal agencies. This webinar will discuss the response and recovery efforts that were done to better prepare between storm seasons, and identify and prioritize recommendations to minimize the impact from future storms and other disruptive events.

Professional Development Hour Information
Professional engineers (PEs) who register and attend the entire webinar as an individual will be awarded 1.5 Professional Development Hours (PDHs). TRB’s webinar program awards PDH credits only to the registered individual, and not to other members of a group that view the webinar together. To be eligible for the credits, individuals must remain signed in for the entire webinar, including for any question and answer session following the presentations.
