Pavement ME Design: A Summary of Local Calibration Efforts for Flexible Pavements
The National Center for Asphalt Technology at Auburn University has released a report that reviews state highway agencies’ general approaches toward local calibration of flexible pavement performance models. The purpose of these calibration efforts is to ensure that the implementation of the Mechanistic-Empirical Pavement Design Guide (MEPDG) will improve the pavement design process and will accurately predict the thickness of asphalt pavements.
