The Long-Term Acoustic Performance of New Zealand Standard Porous Asphalt
The New Zealand Transport Agency has released a report that investigates the long-term acoustic performance of New Zealand standard porous asphalt manufactured in accordance with TNZ P/11 Specification for open graded porous asphalt (OGPA). OGPA is predominantly used in high-speed environments and is known to enhance skid resistance and reduce splash/spray during wet conditions. It is also known as a “low-noise road surface” material due to its strong acoustic performance.
