Assessing the Feasibility of a Pedestrian and Bicycle Count Program in Virginia
The Virginia Department of Transportation has released a report that identifies ways to plan and implement a non-motorized count program in Virginia, including an understanding of whom such a program would serve, how frequently data would need to be collected, and for what purposes. This report attempts to develop spatial and temporal patterns of non-motorized traffic volumes in order to assess exposure hazards for pedestrians and bicyclists.
