SHRP 2 Reliability Project LO2: Establishing Monitoring Programs for Travel Time Reliability
Date: Thursday, June 5th, 2008
Time: 1:00pm to 5:00pm
Location: John Ruan Conference Room
Transportation Center, Northwestern University
600 Foster Street, Evanston, Illinois
The Reliability focus area of SHRP 2 has a goal to reduce congestion through incident reduction, management, response, and mitigation. Achieving this goal will significantly improve travel time reliability for many types of person and freight trips on the nation’s highways. Reliability Project LO2 has an objective to develop a guidebook for professional practitioners on how to plan, design, and operate monitoring programs for travel time reliability.
An RFP for this project was previously released in July 2007. No responsive proposals were received and no contract award was made.
Accordingly, a new RFP will be released based on changes made by the Expert Task Group for this project and feedback received at a pre-RFP release conference on Thursday June 5, 2008 at the time and location above.
The RFP release date for this project is July 29, 2008. The project duration is 33 months and the value is $1.8 million. A
Draft RFP for Project LO2 will be the basis for discussion at the Pre-RFP Conference.
This conference will provide the opportunity for SHRP 2 Reliability Program representatives to present the project objectives, philosophy, emphasis areas, and key tasks in the Draft RFP. Session participants will be able to ask questions and seek clarification regarding different aspects of the project. All parties with an interest in submitting a proposal, either as a prime or subconsultant, are encouraged to attend to gain a clear understanding of the project.
Inquiries on this conference should be directed to Mr. Bill Hyman, SHRP 2 Senior Program Officer- Reliability, at 202 313-1914 or
