Obtaining and Using Traffic Monitoring Data for Improving System Performance

Loews Coronado Bay
San Diego, California
June 27-30, 2004

Invitation from the Conference Chair

Mark Hallenbeck Dear Colleague,

This is a conference to advance the state of the practice of travel monitoring by improving the interaction between users, data collection program management and the staff that collect, process and use that data. Hear about what colleagues are doing, understand the current state of the practice, and see the latest technology from vendors. Learn about:

  • New technologies for data collection
  • New ways to manage, analyze and report data
  • New data sources
  • How to present information to decision makers
  • How to gain support for your data collection program
If you are a state or regional traffic data collector, traffic data user, manager of data programs, or a vendor, you should plan on being in San Diego. NATMEC is the premier venue for sharing experiences for cost effectively monitoring traffic flow, whether it be for operational decision making, planning, or program management.
