Conference Information

TRB is organizing two back-to-back conferences pertaining to roadway pavement preservation and asset management. They are designed as forums for practitioners, researchers, and others to share information on a variety of transportation issues related to pavement preservation and asset management. The two conferences will be held October 31 - November 3, 2005 in Kansas City, Missouri, with joint sessions on Tuesday morning, November 1.

The First National Conference on Roadway Pavement Preservation will encompass all aspects of successfully implemented roadway pavement preservation activities. This includes management, engineering, economics, the establishment of strategic performance goals, and the implementation of routine maintenance, preventive maintenance and minor rehabilitation activities. The conference will include papers and presentations on roadway pavement program-network and project-treatment characteristics.

"Making Asset Management Work in your Organization" is the theme of the Sixth National Conference on Transportation Asset Management. The conference will cover surface transportation modes only. Sessions will cover a broad range of topics that will be of interest to agencies that are in the early stages of implementation of asset management as well as agencies that are in later stages of the implementation process.

Who should attend?
The conferences will benefit individuals involved in transportation asset management and pavement preservation, including policymakers and practitioners from Federal, State, regional, and local government agencies, consultants, suppliers/vendors, researchers, faculty members, and transit agency professionals.
