Cow Power: A Case Study of Renewable Compressed Natural Gas as a Transportation Fuel
The Alternative Fuels Data Center of the U.S. Department of Energy has released a report that explores renewable compressed natural gas (R-CNG) derived from dairy manure to supply fuel to heavy-duty milk tanker trucks in Indiana, Michigan, Tennessee, and Kentucky. R-CNG has the potential to help fleets decrease fuel costs, operate more quietly, and emit fewer greenhouse gases and pollutants.
