Federal Civil Aviation Programs: In Brief
The Congressional Research Service has released a report that provides an overview of the funding structure of the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). FAA programs are funded primarily through the Airport and Airway Trust Fund. The FAA also administers air traffic service fees on flights that travel in U.S.-controlled airspace but do not take off from or land in the United States.
