TRB Webinar: Managing the Shift to a Flexible Work Future May 20, 2024 01:00 PM - 02:30 PM U.S. Eastern 1.50 0.00 0.00 0.00

Telecommuting and remote work allowed many organizations to maintain business continuity through the pandemic. It also presented challenges and risks that must now be considered when planning for long-term and permanent implementation of flexible work arrangements. TRB will host a webinar on Monday, May 20, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM Eastern that will discuss the challenges, risks, and considerations of telecommuting, remote work, and hybrid schedules. Presenters will share mitigation strategies for both organizational and employee barriers. Presenters will also provide practical tools to help measure organizational readiness to implement flexible work arrangements, determine employee and job suitability for telework, and manage remote employees.
This webinar is based on NCHRP Research Report 1072: Telecommuting, Remote Work, and Hybrid Schedules: Managing the Shift to a Flexible Work Future.
This webinar is sponsored by TRB’s National Cooperative Highway Research Program.
Registration is free for employees of TRB sponsors as well as Titanium and Cobalt Global Affiliates. The registration rate for all other attendees is $100. TRB Webinar: Pavement Foundations—Designing for 100 Years May 30, 2024 01:00 PM - 02:30 PM U.S. Eastern 1.50 0.00 0.00 0.00

Pavement foundation deformation under asphalt or concrete surface layers cause damage at the surface and reduce service life. Extreme weather and seasonal climate change create additional uncertainty, making it difficult to estimate and reduce foundation degradation and deformation for life cycle assessment periods up to 100 years. TRB will host a webinar on Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM Eastern that will provide examples of current technology that is enhancing highway resilience and improving long term performance by reducing pavement foundation deformation.
This webinar features research from NCHRP Research Report 933: Evaluating Mechanical Properties of Earth Material During Intelligent Compaction.
This webinar is a follow-on to the 2024 TRB  Annual Meeting Workshop 1058: Pavement Foundations: 100-Year Design Considerations.
This webinar is sponsored by TRB’s National Cooperative Highway Research Program and the Standing Technical Committees on Mechanics and Drainage of Saturated and Unsaturated Geomaterials, Transportation Earthworks, and Stabilization of Geomaterials and Recycled Materials.
Registration is free for employees of TRB sponsors as well as Titanium and Cobalt Global Affiliates. The registration rate for all other attendees is $100.
