Geo-Extreme Conference*

American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and Geo-Institute are hosting the Geo-Extreme 2021 Conference on November 7-10, 2021 in Savannah, GA. TRB is pleased to cosponsor this event. Mitigating the consequences of future extreme weather events requires geo-professionals to take timely actions. Quantifying the impact of extreme weather on geo-dependent infrastructure will require accurately assessing the resistance (soil shear strength and compressibility, reinforcements, stabilization, etc.) and demands.

Geo-Extreme 2021 offers a multi-disciplinary forum to enable the geo-engineering community to engage and collaborate with experts and scientists from other related disciplines, including geosciences, remote sensing, hydro-climatology, coastal, ports, risk assessment, urban planning, emergency management, and other areas to address future extreme events.
