Geology and Properties of Earth Materials 2003
Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board 1821 examines the effects of agricultural equipment on pavements in South Dakota, correcting highway thawing problems in Washington State, Alaskan experimental study of air convection roadway embankments, and a joint Paris-Quebec study to forecast frost and frost heave. TRR 1821 also addresses testing and data collection issues, with individual papers on the dissipation patterns after sand deposit liquefaction, the development of models to predict moisture flow in soil, and a Japan Highway Public Corporation study to evaluate the stability of cut slopes on the Chuo Expressway.
Individual TRRs, which are published on an irregular basis throughout the year, consist of collections of peer-reviewed papers on specific transportation subject areas and modes.
Abstracts of papers that make up this TRR are available through
TRB's Publication Index. In the Series field type "Record & 1821" (without the quotes). After reviewing the abstracts you will need to use your browser's "back" button to return to this screen in order to purchase the publication.
