Railroads: Intercity Rail Passenger; Track Design and Maintenance; and Other Topics
TRB’s Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, No. 1916 addresses customers’ reactions to the introduction of high-speed rail service in Korea, alternatives for railroad traffic simulation analysis, options for improving the energy efficiency of intermodal freight trains, the development of a new metric for release risk from a tank car, and methods for allocating costs of empty railcar movements.
Individual TRR Journals, which are published on an irregular basis throughout the year, consist of collections of peer-reviewed papers on specific transportation subject areas and modes. Abstracts of papers that make up this TRR are available through TRB's Publication Index.
TRR Journals may also be purchased on an annual subscription basis. Each year, TRB publishes approximately 40 volumes of the TRR Journal, containing more than 650 papers grouped by subject.
