Energy and climate change are the focus of articles assembled for the May–June 2010 issue of TR News under the auspices of the TRB Special Task Force on Climate Change and Energy.
Articles assess transportation’s current and anticipated contributions to emissions of greenhouse gases and fossil energy use, the challenges and opportunities to reduce emissions by freight carriers, the transition to low-carbon nonpetroleum fuels, operational issues for reducing carbon emissions, plus findings and recommendations from recent TRB policy studies, research needs statements, other publications, and more.
