Review of FAA’s Efforts to Address Safety Issues of Helicopter Emergency Medical Services
The U.S. Department of Transportation Administration’s Office of Inspector General has released a report that evaluates the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA’s) progress in meeting requirements for helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) operations as cited in the FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012, and efforts in implementing HEMS oversight enhancements.
