TRB Webinar: Service Life and Durability of Steel Culverts and Buried Bridges, Part 1
TRB conducted a webinar on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM ET that explored important factors affecting service life and durability of steel culverts and buried bridges in highway applications. Presenters discussed how galvanizing works and described how design considerations, proper construction, and maintenance achieve the desired service life. They also explored design features that can be used to extend service life, and shared tools and resources available to designers, inspectors, and maintenance personnel.
This webinar was organized by the TRB Standing Committee on Culverts and Hydraulic Structures.
