NTI Webinar: TCRP D-17: Detecting and Mitigating Low-Level DC Leakage and Fault Currents in Transit Systems*
TRB is cosponsoring a webinar on Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 2:00-3:30 PM ET that features the Transit Cooperative Research Program (TCRP)'s
Project D-17: Detecting and Mitigating Low-Level DC Leakage and Fault Currents in Transit Systems. Participants should
register in advance. The National Transit Institute (NTI) is sponsoring this webinar, and there is no fee to register for this event.
This webinar will discuss DC-powered transit systems and identify potential methods, tools and techniques for detecting low-level current leaks and make recommendations on further development or refinement of these tools for use by transit agencies. The webinar will also illustrate the alternative approach in determining the low level leakage currents through the sensors developed throughout the course of this project.
Presenter:
- Yilmaz Sozer, University of Akron
