Assessing and Improving Pollution Prevention by Swales
The Center for Transportation Studies at the University of Minnesota has released a report that investigates the infiltration potential of roadside swales, which are drainage ditches that also treat runoff to improve water quality. The publication explores ways to optimize the cost-effectiveness of the swales so as to preventing pollution by infiltrating more water runoff.
