Review of Opportunities to Reduce Fragmentation, Overlap, and Duplication in Federal Government Programs
The U.S. Government Accountability Office has released a report that identifies where executive branch agencies or Congress could reduce, eliminate, or better manage fragmentation, overlap, or duplication, and how they could achieve cost savings or enhance revenue. This report includes a section on possible fragmentation in the programs that provide non-emergency medical transportation and a section on the U.S. Transportation Security Administration’s efforts to achieve cost savings and offset security costs.
