Impact of Initial Density on Strength-Deformation Characteristics of Open-Graded Aggregates
The U.S. Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has released a report that investigates the strength-deformation characteristics of open-graded aggregates (OGAs) under common conditions in the field. OGAs are often used as structural backfill materials for retaining walls, bridge foundations, and pavement bases because of their engineering properties and general ease of use.
