TRB Volunteer Profile: Cameron Kergaye
Dr. Cameron Kergaye, Director of Research and Innovation at the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), is a featured volunteer in the
TR News. He focuses on establishing a culture of innovation for implementing transportation improvements, as well as leading research and development initiatives. Before becoming Director of Research, Dr. Kergaye served as the statewide program manager at UDOT, where he directed technical support for statewide program and project management. At UDOT, he has also managed a bituminous lab and implemented standards to achieve accreditation, managed state and local transportation projects, and provided program delivery support for new agency initiatives.
Dr. Kergaye was also an engineering management fellow at AASHTO. He currently serves as the chair of the AASHTO Coordination and Collaboration Taskforce, serves on the AASHTO Research Advisory Committee (RAC), and serves on the AASHTO Special Committee on Research and Innovation.
At TRB, Dr. Kergaye is a member of the Standing Committees on Conduct of Research and Technology Transfer. He has also served on NCHRP panels.
The TR News is a bimonthly publication of TRB that features articles on innovative and timely research and development activities in all modes of transportation.
