TRB Webinar: Emergency and Disaster Preparedness: Cooperation and Coordination for Effective Response

TRB conducted a webinar on June 18, 2014, from 2:00pm to 3:30pm ET that summarized cooperation and coordination among airport and emergency management leaders, including the utilization of Airport Community Emergency Response Teams (A-CERTS). This webinar provided 1.5 Continuing Education Units for Accredited Airport Executives.

Airports frequently cooperate with local emergency management agencies in preparing for, responding to, and recovering from disasters. Cooperation during emergencies yields many positive outcomes, but also presents complex challenges, as a wide array of personnel and materiel must be carefully orchestrated under uncertain conditions.
