This webinar highlighted findings from the following ACRP reports that addressed these issues:
Kristin Lemaster, CDM Smith, presented
ACRP Report 56: Handbook for Considering Practical Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction Strategies for Airports. Kristin focused on the practical applications of her team’s research and summarized strategies for how airport practitioners can identify, evaluate, prioritize, and implement practical, low-cost strategies to reduce and manage greenhouse gas emissions. She provided an overview of an interactive, electronic decision-support tool called AirportGEAR that will aid airport operators in evaluating and selecting the greenhouse gas emission reduction measures that are best suited for their airport.
John Pehrson, CDM Smith, presented
ACRP Report 78: Airport Ground Support Equipment (GSE): Emission Reduction Strategies, Inventory, and Tutorial. John presented information to help airport practitioners assess and mitigate the contribution of GSE to air quality impacts at airports, including potential strategies to reduce emissions.
Michael Kenney, KB Environmental, Inc., presented
ACRP Report 84: Guidebook for Preparing Airport Emissions Inventories for State Implementation Plans. Michael presented an overview of the guidebook, which is designed to assist in the preparation of airport emissions inventory component of a state implementation plan. He also provided a demonstration on how to produce and utilize the results.
Moderated by: Kris Russell, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport
The first 60 minutes of the webinar were for presentations and the final 30 minutes were reserved for audience questions.
Learning Objectives:
