How to attend Workshops and Lectern Sessions
- You must register for the TRB Annual Meeting, in order to view the workshops or lectern sessions video recordings. (Note, you cannot attend these events if you have an “Exhibits and Committee Meetings Only” registration.) The recordings of workshops or lectern sessions will be available until March 18, 2021.
- Once registered for the TRB Annual Meeting you will be able to log into the Virtual Event Platform to access the workshops and lectern sessions. View our instructional video for information on signing in and navigating the lobby.
- Join the event by using your MyTRB login at the Virtual Event Platform.
- Once in the lobby of the Virtual Event Platform, click on “Workshops and Lectern Sessions” to enter the Auditorium, where you will see a schedule of available events. Click on the event of your choice to enter that event. View our instructional video for information on locating and accessing sessions.
- You also can browse the full schedule of workshops and lectern sessions, including dates and times, in the online program.

How to participate in the Poster Showcase
- You must register for the TRB Annual Meeting, in order to attend (or to be a presenter at) poster sessions. (Note, you cannot attend these events if you have an “Exhibits and Committee Meetings Only” registration.)
- Once registered for the TRB Annual Meeting you will be able to log into the Virtual Event Platform to access the poster sessions.
- To view a specific poster presentation in the Virtual Event Platform:
- From the Virtual Event Platform lobby, go to the “Poster Showcase,” and it will take you to a list of group topics (e.g., Aviation, Freight, Rail, Public Transportation, etc.).
- Click on any group and you will see a list of all poster sessions on that topic.
- Click on any poster session, and you will see a list of the presentations in that session.
- Click on any presentation title to view the presentation.
- You can communicate with the presenter by clicking the “Join Discussion” (or “Start Discussion” button).

- You also can browse the full schedule of poster sessions, including dates and times, in the online program.
- Poster presentations will be available to attendees from January 21, through March 18, 2021. Presentations will include a chat box enabling ongoing (non-live) Q&A between attendees and presenters.
- Attendees are encouraged to peruse the poster presentations at their leisure.
I can’t see content in the Poster Showcase. What should I do?
You might need to login, again.
- When you are in the lobby click on "Poster Showcase" in the navigation bar. When you see the escalators, click where it says, “Click Here.”
- While in the Poster Showcase, look at the top menu bar. If you see “Log In to the Virtual Event Platform” you are not logged into the poster component of the website. Continue the login process by clicking on “Log In to the Virtual Event Platform."
- In the “Sign In Options” window, click on “Sign in using My TRB account.”
- Enter your MyTRB username and password if they are not already populated in your internet browser, then click “Sign In.”
- A new “Dashboard” screen will appear. Click on the grey button “Join the Meeting.”
- This will take you back to the lobby. Click on "Poster Showcase" in the navigation bar, then "Click Here" at the escalators, and you will now be logged into the Poster Showcase. You can search the uploaded poster content and access the poster presenter discussions.
