  • Reduced fees for registration at the TRB Annual Meeting;
  • Complimentary subscription to the TRB bimonthly magazine, TRB News;
  • Eligibility to participate in TRB's customized subscription service;
  • Access to Transportation Research Record (TRR) Journal Online at a sepcial affiliate rate;

  • Discount of 25% on purchase of single copies of most TRB publications; and
  • Announcements of the TRB Annual Meeting and conferences.

Optional Contribution to TRB Minority Student Fellows Program: The TRB Minority Student Fellows Program is intended to promote minority participation in transportation and TRB.  Now in its fourth year, the program provides financial assistance for minority students from a number of historically black colleges and universities and other minority-serving institutions to attend and present a research paper at the TRB Annual Meeting.  Each institution selects a highly qualified graduate student or advanced undergraduate in a transportation-related curriculum to participate in the program.  The institutions also designate a faculty member to oversee the work of each student and to accompany the student to the TRB Annual Meeting.  Your support will help TRB sustain and expand this important program.

Optional Chairman's Luncheon Ticket: A separate ticket is required for The Chairman's Luncheon program, which includes the introduction of new Executive Committee members and officers, a keynote speaker, and presentation of TRB’s most prestigious awards.  Due to an unprecedented demand, Chairman's Luncheon tickets are no longer available.  If you requested tickets when you registered and your plans have changed, please contact TRB@jspargo.com and turn in tickets received by mail at the onsite TRB registration desk so that another registrant may attend.   If you would like to attend the Chairman's Luncheon and do not have a ticket, standby ticket sales ($80) and seating will be available at the Shoreham TRB registration desk and Regency Ballroom door at 12:10pm on Wednesday, January 16.

Young Professional Registration Category: TRB is committed to fostering the professional development of young professionals in transportation.  The Young Professional registration category is for practicing transportation professionals aged 35 years or younger.  The Annual Meeting education sessions and networking opportunities for young transportation professionals provide an ideal way to become more involved in TRB and the industry.

TRB Sponsor Registration Category: One of the benefits of being a year-round $65,000+ Sponsor of TRB’s Core Programs is receiving unlimited complimentary registrations to the TRB Annual Meeting for TRB Sponsor employees.  To qualify for the complimentary rate, registrants must be an employee of a TRB Sponsor during the Annual Meeting.  It is illegal for private contractors, retired employees, or others to register as an employee of a government agency.  When registering, TRB Sponsor employees should be sure to use a work email address and to select the specific name of the TRB Sponsoring organization (view the current list of TRB Sponsors).  For example, employees of agencies within U.S. DOT must select the Sponsoring agency name rather than entering “U.S. DOT” as the organization name.

Registration and Payment Options: Online registration with payment by credit card (American Express, MasterCard, or VISA) is strongly recommended.  At this late date, check payments (payable to TRB in U.S. funds drawn on a U.S. bank), must be brought onsite at the Annual Meeting.  Please print and complete the registration form, in advance, to register at one of the meeting hotels.  Wire transfers are not accepted.

Registration Cancellation Policy: Registration cancellations must be submitted to the TRB Registration Bureau in writing at TRB@jspargo.com by December 15, 2012, to receive a refund, less a $50 processing fee.  All refunds are processed after the Annual Meeting.  Refunds will not be granted for requests received after December 15.  Telephone cancellations will not be accepted.

Secure your Visa: If you will require a visa to enter the United States to attend the TRB 92nd Annual Meeting, January 13-17, 2013, in Washington, D.C., begin planning now.  Visit the International Participation page to use the self-serve Letter of Invitation to expedite the application process.

Use the attendee registration fees below to budget for your participation:  Meals are not included in the registration fee. The Chairman’s Luncheon ($80 after November 30) and the Human Factors Workshops (which include lunch) require a separate ticket fee. Select committee member-related meal functions are by invitation only.
