LEGAL ASPECTS OF AIRPORT PROJECTS (ACRP 11-01)
This project was initiated to meet the needs of airport attorneys for authoritatively researched, specific, limited-scope studies of legal issues and problems having national significance and application to their business. Similar to the programs meeting the needs for dealing with legal problems arising from highway and transit, the objective is an applied legal research program for airport attorneys. Considerable emphasis will be placed on collecting primary data and information and to help organize a comprehensive body of airport law. Areas of interest include federal and funding requirements, regulating operations, and leasing. Other areas of interest include:
- Environmental standards and requirements;
- Construction and procurement contract procedures and administration;
- Civil rights and labor standards; and
- Tort liability, risk management, and system safety.
Reports generated by this project will be published as ACRP Legal Research Digests.
