Intelligent Transportation Systems and Vehicle-Highway Automation: 2006
TRB’s Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, No. 1944 explores intelligent transportation systems and vehicle-highway automation. Specific topics examined include collision avoidance systems, intersection decision support systems, intelligent vehicle control systems, advanced traveler information systems, route guidance, a new m-commerce parking system, travel time estimation techniques, a mode-based approach to extracting roadway background image, vehicle segmentation and tracking in the presence of occlusions, survivability of a small intelligent transportation system, and probes as path seekers.
Individual TRR Journals, which are published on an irregular basis throughout the year, consist of collections of peer-reviewed papers on specific transportation subject areas and modes. Abstracts of papers that make up this TRR are available through TRB's Publication Index.
TRR Journals may also be purchased on an annual subscription basis. Each year, TRB publishes approximately 45 volumes of the TRR Journal, containing more than 800 papers grouped by subject.
