Impacts of Minnesota’s Primary Seat Belt Law
The Center for Excellence in Rural Safety at the University of Minnesota has released a report that examines the extent to which a 2009 state seat belt law, making not wearing a seat belt a primary offense, affected the injury and fatality rates in the state of Minnesota. The report also explores the costs associated to vehicle injuries and fatalities before and after the law took effect.
