Effects of U.S. Tax Policy on Greenhouse Gas Emissions
The Board on Science, Technology, Economic Policy, part of the National Academies Division on Policy and Global Affairs (PGA) has released a report that reviews the U.S. Internal Revenue Code to identify the types of and specific tax provisions that have the largest effects on carbon and other greenhouse gas emissions and estimates the magnitude of those effects.
PGA, like TRB, is a division of the National Academies, which include the National Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Engineering, Institute of Medicine, and National Research Council.
