TRB’s Innovations Deserving Exploratory Analysis (IDEA) Transit Project 63a: Improving Bus Transit On-Time Performance through the Use of AVL Data develops a set of desktop tools to analyze archived fixed-route transit automatic vehicle location (AVL) data. The purpose of these tools is to measure on-time performance and develop schedule times between timepoints.
