The TRB Annual Meeting attracts more than 12,000 transportation professionals, including 1,400+ state department of transportation researchers and practitioners, an equal number of federal DOT employees, some 2,000 private contractors, and almost 5,000 academics and university-based researchers. More than 250 organizations exhibited in 2016 and we expect that number to grow to 275 in 2017.

The 96th TRB Annual Meeting takes place January 8-12, 2017, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. The meeting will feature more than 5,000 presentations in more than 800 sessions. A number of sessions and workshops will focus on the meeting’s spotlight theme: "Transportation Innovation: Leading the Way in an Era of Rapid Change."
