TRB Volunteer Profile: William L. Eisele
William L. (Bill) Eisele, Senior Research Engineer at Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI), is a featured volunteer in the
TR News. Dr. Eisele also serves as the head of the Mobility Division at TTI. He is an expert in mobility analysis, performance management, urban freight transportation, freight mobility, and access management.
Additionally, Dr. Eisele has received the Patriotic Employer Award from the Office of the U.S. Secretary of Defense, and was an Eno Transportation Foundation Fellow.
At TRB, Dr. Eisele has been a member of various committees for thirty years, currently serving as the chair of the Urban Freight Transportation Committee, which was recently honored with the Blue Ribbon Committee Award for Excellence at the 2020 Annual Meeting. He was also the lead investigator in a recent NCHRP report about facilitating implementation of effective metropolitan freight transportation strategies.
