TRB’s Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, No. 2139 includes 21 papers that explore the impact of shifting to diesel-powered vehicles, estimating the fuel efficiency of road traffic, impacts of road grade on fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions, fuel prices and consumer preferences for vehicles, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, hydrogen fueling, vehicle capacity and fuel consumption in household fleets, addressing climate change in transportation planning, and unequal distribution of greenhouse gas emissions from personal travel in the United Kingdom.
