TRB’s Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, No. 2174 contains 19 papers that explore wide-area congestion and incident monitoring; sustainability at state transportation agencies; governance of metropolitan planning organizations; estimating a state transportation infrastructure funding shortfall; microsimulation analysis of paratransit patron accessibility; using aggregated federal data to model freight in a medium-sized community; and using intelligent transportation system technologies to improve shuttle ridership.
