SHRP2 Traffic Incident Management Responder Training Program

The U.S. Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has released a report that evaluates the Traffic Incident Management (TIM) Responder Training Program developed by TRB’s second Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP2). This report focuses on the dissemination of TIM trainings and concepts across the country, responder and agency adoption of SHRP2 TIM concepts, and improvements in key TIM performance metrics. SHRP2 is a partnership of FHWA, AASHTO, and TRB.

The U.S. Government Accountability Office has released a report that reviews TRB's second Strategic Highway Research Program as required by the 2005 Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users. The report explores the process for selecting the program’s projects for funding; the projects’ status; and what, if any, research was eliminated because of funding and time constraints.
