Dirty Bombs Fact Sheet
A new fact sheet from the National Academies and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security offers clear, objective information on "dirty bombs" and other devices that could be used in a radiological terrorist attack. Created for journalists participating in the Academies' workshops on "News and Terrorism: Communicating in a Crisis," the fact sheet is the first in a series on weapons of mass destruction. Forthcoming fact sheets will address chemical, biological, and nuclear attacks.
