Review of the Growth and Transportation Efficiency Center Program, with Recommendations for Increasing Benefits to Suburban Cities
The Washington State Department of Transportation has released a report that offers suggested guidance on processes related to creating, supporting, and enhancing Growth and Transportation Efficiency Centers (GTECs), especially those centers located within suburban cities.
The report examines the goals of the GTEC program and makes a variety of recommendations for growing the program and expanding its effectiveness in reducing peak period single occupancy vehicle use under a variety of different budgetary scenarios.
