The Superpave mix design system gives pavement designers the tools needed to tailor asphalt mixes to specific traffic loads and climates. Predicting pavement performance is the goal of current refinements to Superpave. A robust complement of experiences with Superpave has been assembled and is available through the links listed below. The TRB Superpave Advisory Committee is working to smooth implementation of the system, a product of the Strategic Highway Research Program, to meet national goals for pavement performance. The Committee's findings and advice are reported to its sponsors, AASHTO and FHWA, in letter reports, which are available below.
