NEW FY 2008 ACRP SYNTHESIS TOPICS SELECTED - UPDATE ON TOPIC REPLACED
Seeking Potential Topic Panel Members and Consultants
You are invited to express your interest in being a topic panel expert or consultant for new FY
2008 ACRP synthesis topics. Please state your interest via email by the deadlines provided below.
Topic Panel Nominations and Qualifications
A new topic, Identification of the Requirements and Training to Obtain Driving Privileges on Airfields is listed below. To express interest in serving as a topic panel member or to nominate an expert to serve as a topic
panel member, please email Gail Staba at gstaba@nas.edu with the project and the nominee name, contact information, and information that exhibits his or her expertise in the topic. Nominations are due March 7, 2008.
Principal Investigator Letters of Interest and Qualifications to Consultant
The new topic scope is hot linked at the bottom of this page. We are continuing a nine-month project cycle with a $5,000 bonus
for adhering to the agreed-upon schedule.
Please note the following information for consultants:

The nine-month contract period is based on the following milestones:
- TRB Notice to Proceed.
- Detailed Work Plan, Survey Questionnaire, and Report Outline- Due two weeks after Notice to Proceed.
- Report First Draft- Due five months after topic panel approval of work plan, questionnaire, proposed survey respondents, and
report outline.
- Report Second Draft- Due one month after Consultant meeting with topic panel to review first draft.
- Report Second Draft- Due one month after consultant meeting with topic panel to review first draft report.
TOTAL CONTRACT PERIOD: 9 Months

Principal investigators/consultant will be paid $25,000 on a fixed-fee basis. Approved travel to meetings is reimbursed.
If PI/consultant meets the terms of the contract, including delivery of a publishable final draft within the nine month contract period, adjusted as necessary for any review delays, he/she will be paid an additional $5,000.

To propose, please send a one-to-two page letter of interest, a resume providing your qualifications, and a statement that
you can comply with the terms of our contract. This is the only requirement for expression of consultant interest. Consultant
letters of interest, resumes, and statements of compliance are to be submitted electronically by close of business, Friday, March 14, 2008. Please submit to the email address gstaba@nas.edu.
