Compensation for Contractors' Home Office Overhead

TRB's National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) Synthesis 315: Compensation for Contractors' Home Office Overhead examines the approaches used by state departments of transportation to compensate contractors for unabsorbed home office overhead for contract delays and contractor's perceptions of these approaches. In addition, the issues of how the federal government and the private sector address home office overhead, and what case law and regulations can be involved are discussed.
